Who Knows Where the Time Goes
FROM LIZ: I have known Sandy Denny's "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" since I was a teenager, and I've always loved it – it has that elusive poetic appeal, in that it manages to say so much with very few words. There's not much more needed to preface it as it speaks for itself in Sandy Denny's beautiful lyrics. Everyone and their mother has covered it since it was written circa 1967, however I came up with a different arrangement for it that has been in my brain for awhile, and I finally decided to go for it for this album.

"Holy cow, Liz! This is amazing! What a beautiful version of such a great song! I love Sandy. And I’m usually very critical of folks who think they can tackle her songs. But wow!! Great job! You really have such a beautiful voice. Hard to compare to Sandy, but you really owned this one."

"A commendable job on a classic song... gorgeous cover."
~John Platt, Host of Sunday Supper on WFUV
“I have to say that I was blown away when I first heard Liz's version of this iconic song.... there are so many great covers of this song out there, not to mention Sandy's own wonderful versions, but this new cover by Liz is absolutely gorgeous and takes it's place as one of the very best. Truly an instant classic! “
~ Mark Michaelis, WGDR Music Director and Host of Acoustic Harmony
"Liz Simmons is one of three excellent reasons to listen to Vermont-based Low Lily, an award-winning trio who blend high musicianship and traditional style with an innovative edge that really satisfies. Liz has a solo project out now: her own beautifully performed reprise of Sandy Denny's "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?" I think Sandy would be pleased."
~ Bob Leslie, Presenter of Transatlantic Conversations on Celtic Music Radio, Scotland
